music is pretty important to me. i usually feel the most challenged and at-ease when i’m working on it, listening to it, or thinking about it. as a medium it’s supremely good at accessing the non-conceptual: the thick, sublime sea that will always dwarf, surround, and erode the shores of our little islands of reified words, in the world of meaning and experience.
